Default 2005+ Nissan Pathfinder

I'm very interested in the current body style Nissan Pathfinder. Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm doing a complete 2009 Pathfinder review in a few days (I have other requests for a Pathfinder review, too). I'll post it here on CAR CHAT. Look for it possibly this weekend, but more likely from Monday to Wednesday.

My short review on it here. There is no reason to buy it over an Explorer, a 4Runner, the new Borrego and most any SUV out there in its class. The only reason is if you like how it looks and your a loyal Nissan fan. The last Pathfinder had a better ride, interior but was smaller. Both have the same great VQ engine.

Thanks, Mike. Much of what you said in your write-up was true, but, as noted, that was two and a half years ago. Nissan has made a lot of improvements in their interiors and general build quality in the last 2-3 years. We'll see how many of those improvements the new Pathfinder got.

We can both probably agree that Nissan should not have done to their products what they did in the first place (cheapening them up so much from 2000-2005), but, right or wrong, that was Carlos Ghosn's recipe for saving the company from bankrupcy.
