meh
i like the LX more
sure the QX may look a bit more grunty but driving that in the city would make you look like an idiot
LX is much more refined for the modern lifestyle
unless you are one of those people in Dubai driving it with the money you dont have from the bankers in UK...

Lol....I don't understand their obsession with squiggly lines all over the place, especially on a brute like this.
People still love their big SUVs and I still feel this is a huge improvement over the current POS QX. I think its going to do well for them (well depending on price).
If they had anything resembling a brain, they would really shock this segment by offering a hybrid initially as an option, really making it stand out (I don't think anyone knows the Escalade hybrid exists).

GREAT idea and +1... the Escalade hybrid achieves little (from what I've read) other than 3 mpg and lowered CO2 emmissions for a $20K premium.... I think ANY hybrid priced right (is there one yet??) over it's standard counterpart would REALLY wake up not only it's segment, but the entire industry...

Haven't seen these pics before so I thought I'd share. It was spotted in Phoenix, AZ. Looks pretty good compared to the current one. It looks smaller, but apparently they made the Nissan Patrol bigger
Infiniti won't downsize the next QX56 SUV
January 18, 2010 - 12:01 am ET -- The next-generation Infiniti QX56 due this summer will be as big as the current model and will share a platform with the Patrol, Nissan's global SUV.
The 2011 QX56 and Patrol are on a "new body-on-frame chassis that is derived from the original QX chassis," said Larry Dominique, Nissan North America's vice president for product planning. "The Patrol grew in size. It is now QX size."
Dominique said the previous QX56 evolved from the Nissan Armada.
"This was designed as a QX from the ground up," Dominique said. "It is clearly Infiniti styling. You will recognize a pretty big evolution from the current QX."
Seven- and eight-passenger configurations will be offered.
Carlos Tavares, Nissan Motor Co.'s chairman for the Americas, said the Armada will be phased out. No timetable was given. Last year, Nissan sold 9,903 Armadas, down 37 percent from the previous year.
Last year, Infiniti sold 6,440 QX56s, down 16 percent from the previous year.
But Dominique said there still is a market for full-sized SUVs.
"When the segment shrunk by 50 percent, the people who were left all still needed SUVs," he said. "They all tow something big, or they have five kids. We are trying to address their needs. A lot of them have big toys, but they want better fuel economy. We're trying to give them that at the same time."
The QX56 had been produced in Canton, Miss., but the new one will be built in Japan. Nissan will export U.S.-made V-8s and engine parts to Japan to install in Infiniti SUVs that will be shipped to the United States.
