Do you buy a regular porsche and let them upgrade it or do you buy vehicles directly from them? Anyone know where I could find out prices for RUF Porsches? I plan on buying one when I win a poker tourney.

I wonder if its done through authorized dealerships, shops, etc. Good question though. I remeber reading an article about a Ruf Porsce when I was a kid and the article was saying that you needed to watch how you down gear in this car, because if you drop a gear and hit it hard you can easily end up on top of the car in front of you. They are violently quick cars

The prefered method is to go see the owner Alois Ruf he will listen to what you want, take you on test drives in his demo, and build your personalized Ruf which is built from a bare 911 shell "body in white" just like most race cars. Ruf is a manufacturer not a tuner.

RUF is in the December Road and Track a very interesting article.

That Ruf car in road and track was based on the carera GT. It was a beast ,but the sticker ( as usual ) was astronomical. I would prefer to do mild cosmetic mods to a car like that and save the Ruf money for a cheap track car that I can beat on with no shame or guilt
