When I saw "RS4.0", I was thinking V8 and AWD... bummer.

Congratulations, anyway! 13 years' difference is quite dramatic, in terms of car experience - enjoy! Price looks very reasonable too.

What's "bummer" about V8 and AWD? I don't see your point.

I think he means that he thought I bought an Audi RS4.

Not everyone, of course, has that kind of money. You did fine for what you spent.

I have always liked the scions. Even when they first came out I used to refer to it as the baby G35 because of the solid lines and proportions

Default 08 Scion tC RS4.0

I'd say that's just another tC, but slightly modified. Doesn't appear to be another RS4.0 though. Just a random tC that might have a color close to the RS.

It's definitely an RS. It has the embroidered seats and the plaque that says x out of 2300. I have the window sticker that says it has the RS package too.

I still haven't had a chance to take pictures, it's been crappy weather out/holiday related business.

PS: I'd say you're a spammer.

Congrats on your new purchase, lots of good luck with it!!!

As far as engine break-in goes, if you ask any engine builder they would say....to have the rings seat properly....drive it like you stole it, beat the daylights of it!! The engine needs to see the proper heat cycles to have the rings properly seal and seat. Most people like to baby the car in the beginning which is totally wrong!!

That's not what the engineers at the auto manufacturers say (the people who design factory engines)....and the manufacturer is the one who will have to stand behind that powerplant and replace it under warranty if it ends up being an excessive oil-burner because the rings, bearings, and valves don't seat properly.
