Bmw complained asserting that the Shuanghuan CEO large SUV is a genetic copy of their Bmw X5. A court in Milan rejected the claim of Bmw last December 10.
However, last July, Bmw succeeded in winning a similar court case in Munich. The five-seater CEO is manufactured by Shuanghuan Automobile in Shijiazhuang, which is located around 280 km southwest of Beijing. The version appears to be like the original generation Bmw X5 from the side view. “We are convinced the CEO wasn’t a clone of the X5. We are happy to see our view supported by a court ruling,” said Milan-based Martin Motors spokesperson, Viviana Martinelli. Martin Motors is Shuanghuan’s European distributor. Martin Motors began vendig the CEO in Italy and central Europe in early last year. So far, Martinelli said, the company has delivered almost 300 CEO units to its 87 Italian outlets. The Italian transport ministry figures says that there are 117 CEOs registered this year and 65 last year. Sales of the CEO in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and the Czech Republic will increase to about 1,200 this year from 300 last year, said Carmen Covrig, general manager of the Romanian importer CEMI Group. CEMI Group has a joint enterprise with Martin Motors.

Similar but not the same![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've seen those Chinese knock offs on some auto show and one had logo on steering wheel fall off. LOL! Buying that is equal to throwing money away.

not really :-)... it looked a lot like 4.2 Rav4, but the car had catastrophic issues and was pulled from Western European markets by its dealers after Autobild found out how brakes fail after 10 full stops, as does the ABS... pretty crappy vehicle. They also had LC120 copy which was just amazingly bad vehicle as well...
