how can you not see a mattress on the road and run over it?
and how can you run over it and have the car making lots of noises and not stopping?

i hope this is the last entry of Stupids of 2008

my mom ran over a giant plastic bag (used to cover something like a mattress) and just kept driving.

after my dad and i took out her rx 300, we went up to her about a burning plastic smell.

that's when she remembered she ran over "some" plastic and when we went to look, it was just like that pic but instead of metal, it was all melted plastic that we had to scrape off . . .

It could be possible if you have a big, tall & wide tractor-trailer right in front of you that went right over the mattress without touching it, & you couldn't see the mattress until it appeared from under the tractor-trailer but it's too late to stop by then ...

Even us tractor trailer drivers wouldnt be stupid enuff to run over it. Even though it would not touch much,, the fear of it jumping up from the air draft and yanking the hanging air lines on the underside of the trailer is just not worth the risk.

I just wonder what that sounded like when the guy ran over it. You'd think after crashing into a mattress and having the springs wrapped around the shaft would make an atrocious noise.

what a moron, I am also wondering how you can run over a mattress and not realize. Must have been on his cell phone and playing with the navigation at the same time
