Its fun to race no matter what you driving. I remeber my brother and I where driving accross the country in a moving truck and we would try to battle semis for lead position. Its fun because both vehicles were crawling. It made it more fun even. LOL
however, this is illegal. Trucks and commercial vehicles, when more than 2 lanes are present, are not legally allowed to drive in the farthest left lane.

This is very true, being a trucker myself. Isn't that car carrier in a turning lane? Looks like it from the pic.

They're not on a highway so it's legal. How else do you expect them to be able to make left turns?

Actually it is not,, highway or not, when there are more than 3 lanes present,,cant be in the far left lane at all unless making a left turn; DOT/state trooper will have a field day writing tickets. Know this from personal experience; is what I do for a living. With GPS, Clear directions, or very well marked streets, unless that far left lane was a turning lane, that car carrier was dead wrong; and this is coming from a trucker.

T's right on this one. It does look like the person in the car carrier is wrong because that does not appear to be a turn lane. There is a break in the left line on the road which means that it could be just a regular lane. Usually turn lanes have a solid line separating them from the other lanes. Besides, the OP appears to be from Jersey and Jersey is known for not having separate turn lanes at intersections including major ones too.
Most left turn lanes in Jersey, and a few other northern states are those STUPID jug handle turns(basically you have to bear to the right and then circle back over the street you just came off of), especially off of major highways and intersections.

There is no left turning lane in that picture, the jug handle/u turn lane was behind me

There is no such thing as left turning lane in central jersey haha, if you want to turn left on a major road, you must use a jug handle type of exit onto the minor road from the right side.
