well they may have less rubber, but with shorter sidewalls the tire must a) be much more rigidly constructed, and b) more precisely constructed because any problems will be felt much more.

i think the Edge looks WAY better than the new RX - i'm sad to say, as i've loved the RX until this new one.
I couldn't agree more. I think the new RX, while I've never seen it in person, looks like a big dissapointment. It just looks BLAH... nothing to set it aside from similar cars in its class.

It looks fine. I rather see Ford spends $$ for better interior materials on almost everything you touch and see. I rented an Edge once, very excited of its fashonable exterior for the first time but only last until I entered the cabin...

That makes the Lexus ES, IS, & RX econoboxes.

I'd like to know how much money you make to consider $35K an economy car.
the Edge costs 35k!? holy crap, did not know it was that high.

Nice pimpin wheels, kinda show car/concept car look. Ford might as well get the business for large diameter wheels.

Actually, I'm a student and make nothing

I'm waiting until i see it at the San Diego international auto show before i make anymore judgments, but I don't believe the high cost of tire replacement is justifiable even for being near-luxury (in price). From the photos, the Ford edge looks nothing like a luxury crossover.

transmission sux though
poor choice of transmission for the engine

i rented a brand new (less than 100 miles when i got it) Ford Edge
didnt like half of the cheap plastic interior
it is quiet but not SUPER quiet
exterior looks nice

but ford mated a terrible transmission to the engine

I drove an Edge, it was okay, kind of big and boring.

There's a reason they are that cheap....

Can you find Land Rover on this list? Hint: It's towards the lower end of the sheet. Keep going....keep going....
