It looks more like the van to the left shoved the R8 under the bus.
Look at the damage on the bumper of the leftmost vehicle.

 

Wow thats terrible. I was just reading in car and driver how hard it was to fix aluminum framed car (they crashed their audi S8) I can't imagine there are too many places in china that can repair that.

 

I believe Hong Kong will have those company that's able to fix it as there's quite a number of exotics in Hong Kong...

 

How ever it happened, if it were my R8 I would be quite angry. If it were any of my cars I'd be angry really.

Due to Hong Kong's unique traffic environment (narrow roads, tons of pedestrians, few private cars, lots of double-decker buses, trucks, taxis, minibuses, etc.), driving a private car poses interesting situations and risks.

I believe the first widely circulated Nissan GT-R wreck was also there. Exotic wrecks can often be found on newspaper headlines. Due to the omnipresence of expensive cars there, quite a few shops can do aluminum car work.


...and I'm headed there in 9 hours.

 

Its just a R8... dime a dozen over here in HK, I saw 6 of them today.
And I believe the mini-truck hit the R8 from behind.
