To bad, I would have liked to see it in the U.S. It would have sold well in it's first year, because it is a unique niche vehicle.

I agree. That truck might have turned out to be a halo vehicle much like the Prowler, new T Bird etc. Not what GM needs right now.

Agreed, and the worst form of halo vehicle, not highly regarded by enthusiasts and high rollers. No volume, no profit, no significant image boost. Prowler, T-Bird are good examples of different looking but mediocre cars.

this would have been a very good thing for GM. It would have been targeted towards to former El Camino owners here, whom still have a very large following. I mean, really, it looks 1000 times better than that failed SSR pickup they put out, which had no practical use at all and was ugly as sin.
