He's probably there to keep some of the numb-nuts who will drive the car to abuse from driving so silly that they crash it into a wall.

If it means Porsche is not in the same league, I disagree.
There are several iterations of Porsche. The 911 has probably 6 models including the Turbo and GT2. Then there's the Carerra GT. Not to mention the tuner P-cars like Ruf, Techart and so on. Porsche is still on the mountain imo.

Again I wasn't trying to insult the tC I think its a fantastic car. My point is Toyota's only interesting coupe is the tC (the Solara is not interesting) and Nissan has the Skyline, 370Z and now GT-R and now V-spec. Toyota should be ashamed they don't even compete in those segments.

Good economy or bad economy, this situation is SAD. It's really disappointing to me now...LFA has been a tease for the last FIVE years. I was one of the most excited and most vocal about the LFA but at this point I have to say that I really don't even care. The anticipation and excitement concerning the car is now nearly over...Lexus threw a party and never showed up.
I really don't care if they do or don't build it anymore.

l-tuned - promised a party, served iced tea
trd - rumors of a party, nothing happened (for lexus)
f-cars - one guy shows up in a hot outfit, some applause from the crowd
lfa - promise a superstar, the lines are still waiting in the cold
lexus "performance" efforts are not really "pursuing" anything.
