That Hybrid front end belongs on the SE model IMO. Looks sportier and cleaner. Not a fan of that glued on body kit crap on Toyotas.

the foglights area of the toyota camry hybrid are very much like those found on the new prius. i think they will become a styling cue for toyota hybrids in the future.

same engine in the 2009 RAV4

2008 RAV4:
21/27
20/25

2009 RAV4:
22/28
21/27

but the RAV4 still uses a 4spd auto.

2008 Camry:
21/31
2009 Camry:
?

23/34 is my guess, tying the new Fusion.

finally the 2.5L AR is out on the Camry. Once these get the requisite $3K discounts, I'll pick up an SE model...

Needs more power in the I4, Honda's pushing 197 in the Accord EX/EX-L. No reason why Toyota can't do the same.

Yeah b/c power is a priority in this class with an I-4. How about a 6 speed tranny Honda? How about a Hybrid Accord Honda? Toyota tech>Honda tech and its not even close.

Yes but the Hyundai is a blatant copy of the 6/7th generation Accords tail lights. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is right in line with the styling trends set by the GLK/GL/ML and C/S Class models. I can't imagine how one could say with a strait face that the car looks like a Hyundai, if that's what you're implying.

As for the Camry, I'm sorely undershelmed by this latest revision. The B7 Tribeca like grille went from bad to worse. It looks horrendous on every Toyota it's on (Sienna/echo, etc.), almost cartoonish in nature. Definitely far from elegant. Looks like Toyota and Honda are finally going to face some real competition from our own country. The 2010 Ford Taurus looks a whole lot more intruiging than this frankly overrated and increasingly cheaply constructed car.

that hybrid looks mean!

i considered the camry SE when shopping for my current car but fell for the BSP on the 2IS.

What I really wanted was the IS 350 with sport package but none were available and I was in a hurry to get the car =/

In my opinion I don't think Toyota tech is better then Honda Tech. They each have their strong point. They probably be equal in term of technology.

I definitely like the hybrid's look.

The Camry Hybrid front end refresh is nice. I'm glad the front end fascias are a little bit more distinguishable. I took these photos yesterday at the show. I'll be back later this morning to Cobo Center for the 2010 Prius release.
