I think there is alot of over reaction, yes, it is a $100k Aston, but I think the damage could be much worse. Accidents happen. I think there would be more damage to the car, if it was sitting at a stoplight and gets hit in the back by a big truck like a Dodge Ram for example. Personally I would still take the car, with the repairs done and actually drive the hell out of it, not worrying about stuff like paint chips, because it has been hurt already.

Lead Lap
...that's insane... but one i've seen personally, was a maxima back in the late 90's, that was being delivered to the dealership, and after they got it off of the truck with the two levels,... another was driven off, and fell on top of it... and smashed the whole roof of the car,... and they "repaired" it... think it had a salvage title or so...

what a clown for allowing the equipment to accidentally malfunction. His death is the only thing that will make up for it

How do you "accidentally ALLOW" the equipment to malfunction?? This was a true case of equipment failure, note the other half of the platform lying on the ground under the car. I actually feel bad for the guy, b/c this is a process that he has most likely done thousands of times before; and it is always a major PITA to deal with. I agree that in any case the car did take a reall nasty fall, and he and/or his partner most likely contributed to it by not having all safety measures in place; but stuff still can happen. Maybe because I am a trucker myself, who has loaded cars onto carriers before, can I relate to the what can happens.
this was a sarcastic comment on my part directed at other comments in this thread. Its obvious the equipment failed and people are calling for the guy to be killed and fired. Obviously he didnt mean for this to happen and it doesnt appear to be his fault, just equipment malfunction, which can happen to anyone.
