Parents-need advice: 2 sedans or 1 SUV/1 Sedan?

Hmm, I'd go one sedan, one hatch/wagon... honestly.
You want the perfect family vehicle? Take a Subaru Outback. AWD (esp. with winter tyres.. oh man), spacious cargo area (a lot more than most SUVs), available dog barrier and you still get more ground clearance than a regular car. A bonus is that it sips less fuel and cost less to insure.
I'd keep the TL and trade the Camry for the Subie. That way, you'll have a nice car for the night into town.
