Default Audi Q5 Review on Hold.

A few of you have asked for an Audi Q5 review. This is a brand-new vehicle from Audi, and has not been released yet in my part of the country (Washington, DC area). Right now, the local target date seems to be 4-6 more weeks, though I hope to see one at the Washington, DC Auto show in early February....and will check it out as much as I can in a static display. Sometimes, though, auto companies put new vehicles up on rotating turntables and don't let anyone up on them.

I will, of course, do a full-length review, whenever possible.

In the meantime, here are some Google shots I managed to find, which give a good idea of what it is like, visually:

Q5 seems to be a nice car. Only time will tell!

Looking forward to the review.

I saw one on a platform at the SF international car show late last year. It's a very nice looking SUV, better styled than current BMW X3 and new Mercedes GLK.

They've just come out here so my wife has had a couple through her PDI centre. Very similar to the Q7 on the outside, but smaller (a good thing), but inside you may as well be sitting in a jacked up A4 - all the switchgear, layout etc is the same. Bit expensive for what it is in my opinion.

Thanks mmarshall... It may be even a little longer if the first few come in sold, but either way it will be worth the wait.

In a back issue, C&D did a brief preview test of the Q5 and said the same thing. From behind the wheel, it was just like the A4 - Not a bad thing.

In the same issue, they did a preview test of the Merc. GLK. Similar vehicles except for styling. From the short reports, I think the magazine preferred the Q5.
