i doubt this car's coming to america anytime soon.

here's the facts on why the Equus won't come to america and if it does, it won't be $55,000.

Fact 1) Hyundais sold in America are cheaper than the same exact models in Korea

Fact 2) South Koreans are importing the Hyundai Azera because their Hyundai Grandeur costs more. (my gf sees azeras on the streets in korea) (wait a sec, i'm confirming if this is true and not just a badge swap)

Fact 3) South Koreans know they're getting ripped off by shopping malls for imported clothing, imported cars, imported liqour (i'm getting off topic) and even by their own cell phone companies (no nights and weekends free, no free in network calling, no discounts on phones or free upgrades and the phones costs like $800-$1,200) and car companies.

If Hyundai were to bring the Equus to America for $55,000, they'll be hanging themselves because the people in Korea wouldn't buy them anymore and if they did want one? they'll import them.

I think it'll look good with some nice aftermarket wheels + drop.

the Genesis doesn't even sell in the US, any talk about bringing that here is outright delusion.

[QUOTE=YEH;4264832]Meh, people have long had that choice w/ Lexus models past and current (tho, probably more Jag than Lincoln) - lol.

I must have my Lexus goggles on b/c I'm not sure which models you're talking about?

sold avg. of 1200 a month which isn't bad at all. many predicts number will go up gradually especially after winning north american car of the year. hyundai will sell 17000-20000 genesis a year. not bad considering the avg. sales are over 38k.

Lexus was the first to use those integrated exhaust tips in the LS, but the idea originated from Nissan/Infiniti.
Its a Nissan. Infiniti had nothing to do with it. It was a Nissan fuga and was not a concept of anything else. The M35/45 is a rebadge, period (still a great car). Its also a concept, not a sold car.

And it was NOT the first and Nissan did NOT come up with the idea. Its been around for decades, the Ferrari F40 from the late 1980s had it.

Also the W-12 A8 actually had the intergrated tips before the LS as well.

bit bland, but i think it works. I heard it will be called 'genesis prestige' in USA. price it 53k for 5.0 420hp then we have a winner!

I also think it's a little blah but that's the kind of conservatism this market likes. I still think it's an impressive ride (except for that horrid hood ornament, like a bugger hanging off someone's nose). Hyundai is coming on very strong very quickly.

I like the front and rear but not so much for the side though.

if they bring it, most likely it will have a genesis like grill with no badge. genesis in korea does have winged logo as well.

anyway, this supposedly have much more creature comfort in the back seat than S, 7 or LS.

Very nice use of wood. Again this is nothing groundbreaking but the price/feature will probably be incredible.

Bumper vents seem to big to me.
