On our way back from a ski trip, my dad accidentally used the bus lane and was given an uncorrectable infraction. It requires him to show up in court, but we have a very busy schedule and would like to find out if there are services that go to court for us.
I tried Googling for it, but couldn't find it. The location in question is Oakland (Alameda), California.
Any help is appreciated.

i fight (and win) all my traffic tickets by hiring a lawyer, they do all the work and show up in court, you never even have to get off your couch except to fax them the ticket. With the fees California charges for traffic tickets its more cost effective to fight all tickets.

Agreed, 3 choices (pay the fine, show in court, or hire lawyer).
I'm batting 75% on traffic court visits over last 20 years, 3 of 4 appearances resulted in no conviction. Managing your driving record is very important of maintaining your driving privilege.

Thx for all the input guys, but I think most of us missed my point (or I wasn't being clear)
I really don't know where to start looking for these "traffic lawyers." And I don't know what to Google for. Any help in that dept. will definitely get me on my way.

Well--you can open the yellow pages and pick out at random (usually a bad idea). Or--you can ask friends, neighbors, classmates, co-workers. Maybe you work at an office where you can send an email to all recipients asking if they know a good local lawyer to fight traffic tix. I see it at work all the time.

I go word of mouth for all my lawyers. My guy charges $120 (never lost a case for me or anyone I have recommended use him). You might be able to call him and get a local referral, he only does San Diego. PM me for his name.

If you want, go to a local community college website, look at the professor name for criminal justice classes. Go find their contact number, and ask them if they do traffic or refer you to some one else.
Usually they were officer, then turn lawyer. So they know the system inside out.
