I was recently watching a newer Best Motoring Video. In the video they did a segment on this beautiful JDM only super Z called the 380 RS. As usual I wanted to share this ca with those who were not aware of the existance of this beautiful creation from Nissan.

TOKYO — Nissan Motorsports — Nismo to cognoscenti — has fashioned a roadgoing companion to the Fairlady Z Type 380RS-Competition.
Available in a limited run of 300 copies in the Japan domestic market, the Type 380RS will sell for around $44,000. That appears to be a modest price premium over the 2007 Nismo 350Z that is offered in the U.S. for $38,695.
Consider that the new Type 380RS starts with the Z-car's 306-horsepower DOHC 3.5-liter V6, kicks up the displacement to 3.8 liters and hikes output to 350 hp and torque to 293 pound-feet.
Nismo has done its usual superb job of tuning and fitting appropriate aerodynamic mods to the body. Under the skin are upgraded shocks, springs and stabilizer bars. Brembo disc brakes are fitted, as are Bridgestone Potenza RE01R performance tires (245/40R18 in front, 275/35R19 in the rear).
Inside, the Type 380RS features perforated leather on the steering wheel, shift **** and handbrake lever, plus drilled aluminum pedals, a unique gauge cluster and sport bucket seats trimmed in Alcantara and leather.
What this means to you: Nismo takes the Z to its street-legal limit.

What I really like is the 350 hp. That puts this car into another league imo. I dont know if you have ever driven a Z with an modified exhaust system really hard, but it is an experience. So the idea of the car sounding that aggressive with 350 ponies under the hood..... Damn!! The Z makes a sound that no other Japanese car can make ( G coupe excluded)

I was just thinking . Is the 3.8 liter V6 in the RS the largest displacement V6 in any japanese sports car????????????? I think it is. Not 100% sure, but 99.7%

It would probably be hard to convert a normal nismo 3.5 liter VQ to a 3.8 l RS motor. Or just have the motor imported from Nissan Japan

Chris Forsberg in the D1 competition drives a Z33 with a V8 from a Nissan SUV. Pretty damn cool. That dude can make more smoke than Sam Hubinettes Viper
