Default A few update progress shots from the '50

Shot a few pics of the '50 after doing some work.

(1) Re-bulbed the dash with some old school style bulbs that give a cool warm glow to them.

(2) Dropped the front another inch. Will be doing bags on it when the weather turns warm.

(3) Put it in the freezer to keep until spring

No hood ornament? I thought all (or most) of those old Pontiacs had a big, stick-up Indian-Chief on the hood. Or is it just missing while you restore the car?

Notice all the deluxe trim pictured in your first pic has been shaved as well.

Looks good so far. Do you plan on painting it, or are you going to leave it flat black?

Most (but not all) old-car restorers, for authenticity, choose to do it in one of the original factory colors.

Don't think this street rod will resemble original when done, so authenticity is not much of a factor.

Marshall,, you would be surprised at just how hard that stupid indian is to find ANYWHERE. And the bottom one in orange is actually a LIGHTED hood ornament, SUPER RARE and SUPER HARD to find. I had a 52 Pontiac Chieftan with that lighted ornament, that I had to recently part with. It took me well over 5 years of scrounging around the local car swap meets, internet searching, word of mouth, etc to find one.

I am loving the new soft light effect. This is definately gonna be one gangsta ride once you bag it. Thanks for sharing.
