For some strange reason, the official stated policy from Lexus Pursuits Visa
card people is that this is NOT possible.

However, I've been getting 5 points per dollars when using my Lexus Pursuit
Visa Card at a Toyota dealership.(this dealer is Toyota-only and does not
have a sister company that's a Lexus dealership)

The credit card statement shows "Toyota of XXXXXXXXX"(name of my city).

I called and asked the Lexus Visa customer service people and they were
quite surprised as well....

Unfortunately, the reverse is not true. Using a Toyota Visa Card at a Lexus
dealership only earn the usual points, not the 5 bonus points... very very
weird, since both Toyota and Lexus Visa cards are issued by the same
company.

glad i have the lexus visa, but then i hardly use it except for services and buying lexus

 

You have both a Toyota Visa AND a Lexus Visa?

 

Why on earth would you bring that to their attention?

 

Maybe it helps card holders feel better when paying 2 times retail for service.

Ahhh, but the Lexus service and loaner cars are pretty nice, Mercedes-like.

 

Are you kidding me? I have a Mercedes and the MB dealer only provides
Enterprise as rental cars. (free... but still the piece of crap that GM/Ford
built..) In fact, my MB dealer's customer lounge is worse than the Toyota
lounge two blocks down the road.

(of course, nothing beats the ultra-plush customer lounge at my Lexus dealer,
with free cooked-to-order breakfast omelets and such)

 

I own 2 Lexus(one old and one newer) and 1 Toyota(new).

When I got the Lexus Visa card, I was told that I wouldn't not get
the 5 bonus points at Toyota dealers, so I applied for the Toyota Visa
card as well. Now I plan to cancel the Toyota card.

 

Where's that, Detroit?

Both dealers here have nothing but Mercedes loaners and gourmet coffee.

 

Redeem the points before they back them off.
