Porsche has released photos of the new 2010 911 GT3 ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March and the revised model features a host of upgrades that make it even more potent than its predecessor. The naturally aspirated flat-six has been enlarged to 4.0-liters, and now produces 435 horsepower good for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph. Handling is improved as well, with a modified stability management system that allows for graduated settings for both stability and traction controls, along with enlarged carbon ceramic brakes that improve stopping distances. On the outside, the GT3 gets several subtle revisions including a redesigned rear spoiler, more angular LED taillights, new bi-xenon headlights, modified air intakes on the front bumper, and a new front spoiler that can be adjusted from the cockpit.
I'm amazed at how well they can shoehorn a 4.0L flat 6 into the back of these cars. The sound of the GT3 is amazing at wide open. I really would love to own a Porsche one day.

It's also amazing that Porsche seems to get more out of less...not like other car makers. They're getting 4.1 to 60 and 193 mph out of 435hp. Seems like others aren't getting this kind of performance without 500+ power.

This is exactly why I say that the GT-R is NOT a Porsche killer. It's a completely different type of car. Porsche has panache that the GT-R doesn't quite have because a) it's a PORSCHE b) it's rear-engine c) it's a flat 6
The GT-R might beat the 911 Turbo on the track but they're not the same class. That'd be like comparing an STI to an older M3, sure you might get similar numbers but they are not the same type of car.

IMHO, I think they sandbag a bit on advertised horsepower ratings, always have.

Well, I think people call it a Porsche killer because it's cheaper and faster.
In that regard, I completely agree.
Who doesn't want more for less money. I mean 500 hp for 70K is pretty good.
