Awesome commercial, although I still disagree with pointing fun at the competition so blatantly. That simply provides free advertising to BMW, Benz and Lexus and implies they are the brands to beat, the standard-setters in the market.

There's a mention of Benz in the #3 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 2009 Car of the Year commercial.
But you know what TRD means, Lexus/BMW/Merc are the current higher end badge/lux companies out there.
And TRD, I think most people already know they are the brands to beat but not that many know that Hyundai is doing it.
primecut, i think the concept has been done many times. I know motorola did one as well but Hyundai's is the best I've seen.

yeah...it will be years before all hyundai models will be updated to the Genesis benchmark level....until then, i don't recognize the 'Hyundia' or Genesis brand as a direct comparison to the big 3. that would be comparing your top car, that you specially produced to perfection, to other high end cars while all the other hyundia models are sub-par.
imo, unless all Hyundia models magically all of the sudden became top notch cars like the genesis, a hyundia is still just a hyundia

funny, the edityourown.com still isn't out yet, does that mean it still haven't been bought or something? it'll be funny if we can grab it first. lol
So, any word on when would the coupe come out and pricing etc? I'm interested.
And anybody know how to buy the kits and lips etc from the thread with the coupe modded in korea? those looked very nice.

that was funny as hell. hope people gets it and stop saying "hyoon-die"
anyway, the yellow is awful choice. yellow makes any decent looking coupe cheaper. i mean seriously who drives yellow unless it's a super car or vette? you don't see yellow G37's or bimmers. i absolutely hate it. they should've chosen red, gray, or blue.

The standards bearers are already etched into the consumers perceptions anyway. The commercial is saying that yes, even Hyundai can compete with them.
