i went with the floormats with the metal logo and the ipod harness. is 1k a lot , maybe, but the ipod functionality alone is worth it in my opinion. and while the prices are marked up, its nowhere near enough change the overall value in my book...

having said that i wouldnt be surprised if you could retrofit the ipopd harness install yourself (as opposed to letting the factory do it) for less, if you were so inclined.

snap on prices are high though. although when i was reading, the base snap on prices before gt-r branding weren't 'cheap' either..

That's worse than prices for buying Chevy parts for a Corvette.

The want to charge $45,000 for Carbon Ceramic brakes. Nissan is high on something.

You haven't seen the prices for Porsche accessories have you

The GT-R has a buyer in Nissan's showroom that can buy these as gifts.

whoever priced that **** is out of there mind. those prices are so jacked up even past what we usually mark up. they have a $600 markup on that tool kit. those are either msrp prices or that parts guy must not have gotten any ***** the night before that.

They are still outrageous prices though. i will admit. when we got our accessories disk with all the pricing I was interested in how much everything was. i mean if you have $80k to throw on a car then this stuff is just dirt on the shoe. we do have a GTR hat for $16. Cant beat that!!!!!

I was thinking if you buying a 80k sport car, why not have those accessories included.

In January for example 94 GT-R's were sold in NA. Nissan probably figures they can get that much in such a limited market. Or least try to get that much.

Accessories are not mandatory. You don't have to buy them or you don't have to buy them from the dealer at least. If you think spending three hundred something bucks for a set of floor mats with metal logos are too much, getting a set of floor mats for $30 from Kragen isn't that bad. Without using the Ipod harness wouldn't kill the car, just use the buttons on the ipod itself to switch songs then. I really wouldn't spend that much money for those unnecessary items.
