Actual Pix from the Chicago Autoshow. The interior and exterior are both STUNNING.

I may buy one of these.

Thanks for the pics, excellent selection from a variety of vantage points. IMHO the interior looks better than the exterior.

I saw the new SHO at the show on Tuesday. It was down on the floor, but was locked so people could only see the interior thru the windows. It looked nice in person - Good presence.

Ford wasn't making too big of a deal of it. It was displayed in with other new Taurus' and was getting some attention from the people in the Ford area.

I wouldn't mind having this car in my stable either. 4doors, twin turbo and lots of potential. hell yes!!

Agreed on the interior generally being better than the exterior, but the SHO's interior (at least from the pictures), IMO, isn't as nice as that of the SEL version, below.

38K????? I would rather get a G37 sedan . I bet the G35 still dusts it with less power. We know the 335 will destroy it. The americans can increase power but are the cars more than 2 tons>>> unfortunately yes

My main problem with the car is the back end...it's awful. The front end is swept back and elegant, the sides are well shaped and attractive....and then you get to the butt. The squarish tail lights look tacked on to a flat, shapeless rear end and it doesn't flow with the rest of the design at all. I have seen a few Tauruses in person now and I keep trying to swallow the rear end but I just cant- the design doesn't flow at all IMO.

This car looks great. for FORD to bring this car back. Beautiful design & nice looking interior for a U.S. car. $37k is great bang 4 buck.
If they could sell it at $32 or $34. It would just sell like hotcakes.
Good to see this coming from U.S. car maker.

Reading the earlier posts, a lot of people thought this car would make the other cars in its price range look "overpriced." Then the car comes out and so do the reviews and its not really too stellar in real life (handling is so-so, not any faster or even slower than a G37).

Its funny how cars look so good on paper and the hype machine starts up but fails to deliver in the end...

First of all, a G37 is not slow or sluggish by any means......not by my definition, at least. Second, at 38K to start, you cannot realistically expect the SHO to be the equal of a BMW 550i or Mercedes E550, both of which can, in some cases, cost double what an SHO does (without dealer markups).
Though, admittedly, I did not get to test-drive or review an SHO (they are available, at present, as special-order cars only), I DID get a chance to review/test-drive an SEL, and that car was quite impressive for what it cost.

Come on I8ABMR, a Taurus is a full sized sedan. What a ridiculous statement to even draw a comparison simply because of horsepower/torque rating. The Taurus SHO is not a compact sports sedan. It would be more realistic to draw a comparison with the Acura TL with SH-AWD with the Taurus SHO.

He has proudly proclaimed he hates American cars (though his TL is built/designed/sold in America for America, completely Domestic).

The Taurus is a segement buster, its huge, luxurious, great features, AWD, good speed.

I can't wait to see mods done to the turbos!
