I think the TSX V6 will probably be compete with both the ES350 and IS250. People might want to buy the TSX because they want the size of the ES350 but the handling of the IS. What is a pre-entry level car ?

What are you talking about? The IS 250 sells as good by itself as the TSX. 60-65% of IS sales are IS 250s. The tiny and wimpy IS 250 is a real entry level luxury car. You do realize the 3 series and C-class are the same size right? The TSX was their size then grew to be this much bigger car nearly teh size of the old TL and actually bigger in some areas.

I agree, it will do a job of splitting people interested in the ES/IS, more so the ES. Here is a nicely built car with finally a V-6 that is a good size that will be cheaper than anything around.

Pre entry level is below the entry level class. The TSX has never been in a review with the entry level cars (3/IS/A4/C). Its reviwed agains the Jetta, Legacy, Maxima, cars of that nature. In last months issue of Car or EVO, the TSX or rather Euro Accord was tested against the Mazda 6, the SEAT, Ford Mondeo, VW Passat, etc etc. Not an Audi/BMW/Benz/Lexus in the comparo.

That is not to say its a bad car at all, its a very good car and it attracts and keeps loyal Honda/Acura fans.

Well as far as I know they don't sell Acuras in Europe, only Honda-trimmed Accords, so what do you expect.

As a (prev and current) owner of both Lexus (GS) and Acura (TSX, RL) , I must say both brands are similar in the "luxury" department at each level so I don't understand that "entry", "pre-entry", "sub-pre-entry" crap, only in people's head, no offense. btw nowadays anything above $25-30K is probably a luxury, considering you can buy a decent car that will do the job for $12K.

Well if they sell Honda Trimmed Accord in Europe and bring them here as Acura's, you have proven my point . Hey I didn't come up with the moniker. I also didn't write or organize the comparison reviews. The TSX has never been in a comparison with the IS, 3 series, A4, G37, etc. The TL has, that is the TL's segment. The TSX fits under that.

RL-GS/5/A6/E class etc
TL-IS/ES/3/C class/A4/G37/CTS
TSX-Saab 9-3, Suburu Legacy, VW Jetta, Nissan Maxima, loaded CAmry/Accord etc

Now with the TSX getting the same V-6 as the TL we will see what comparisons it will be involved in in the future. I am going to assume it will be classed with the smaller engine IS 250, 328, A4 FWD, C300......

And the more I type the more I don't really care. This car does nothing for me. Its anti-woody and anti-******** Blah. Where is the F-sport thread?

Damn 3.5 in TSX, its great, but it show how desperate Acura with their products.

That just water down the TL & RL. Acura need to release the V8 to bump TL or RL. Or another vehicle to their line up.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend my family/friends member to buy Acura right now, since it seem like they're not sure which direction to go. Any changes to product take about at least 2-3 years. By then, we are ready for them Hybrid/alternative engines.

Bring back S2k & NSX!!

TSX isn't as bad as TL, but still they totally ruined the design. both previous gen were classy honda design. now they are just trying to do too much. I had acura cls and i used to be a big acura fan. even though it wasn't the best looker, but it didn't offend anyone either.

Base on some of the post here, it seem that Acura is really a bad bad company or something but that is not really the case at all.

All their cars are good depenable car. They may not be master of anything but they are above average in term of resell and handling. Yes visually they are not eye candy but that's about it. They are still excellent cars and offer very good packages. They are not like the big three where one have to worry about seeking government help. Their built quality are not lacking and dare say not trailing lexus at all in term of built quality. Please don't make it should like Acura is going to disappear or something.

The question is not if the TSX will have torque steer, but the real question is how bad will the torque steer be?

This car will still have obnoxious torque steer. Honda should put down the BMW 5 and 6-series design sketchbooks and go to the engineering department to see how to properly construct a front 4-link suspension to eliminate torque steer.

Refinment also needs to be vastly upgraded if Honda really wants to make the TSX viable as a true luxury sports sedan. Ever seen the cheap interior? The leahter that feels like it was lifted from a Civic? How about the hood prop? It's a cheap car that feels like it's in a lesser class (which is what 1SICk is talking about).

The TS on the V6 TSX should be manageable if Acura uses the same technique for the last generation TL-S.

I test drove that car before, sure the TS is there but for a FWD car with close to 300 hp, it isn't bad at all.
