I won't say it's ugly, but does not look that good either.
I think the white one already has the AMG bumper on it ?
It's a Mercedes, & that brand is already an icon, they can make their cars look like anything & they will still sell. I expect this to do well.

My guess is that you're in your mid-20s and have a preference for sporty vehicles, especially from a visual point of view, hence your preference for an AMG body kit.
A stock Mercedes is generally a beautiful and elegant car but they're always designed with a conservative hand because a typical Mercedes customer doesn't want something ostentatious. They like to drive something that looks good but at the same time also blends in well with traffic.
Personally, I detest AMG body kits. They ruin the smooth and elegant lines of a Mercedes' sedan. The few Mercedes' that look good with the AMG body kit are the new SL, R class and S class (but even without the AMG cladding the S class still looks damn fine).
Oh come on. The interior is simple and classy - very Mercedes. Mercedes interiors in my experience have always been simplistic, yet always have managed to appear elegant (with a few exceptions like the previous generation C class interior, which was just ugly). They're continuing this tradition, obviously.
I personally find the interior to be very well-executed and classy. The car also looks quite dynamic and more masculine than the previous generation CLK.

Probably on the lower-end 4-cylinder models sold in Europe. My best guess is that anything with a V6 will be automatic transmission only.
That doesn't really mean anything at this point. That engine is still powerful in its own right. If the gear ratios on the 7 speed transmission are right and the car didn't gain too much weight then it will definitely still be a match in terms of 0-60 and midrange acceleration performance.
The current C350 performs pretty well for a "268-hp car".
I do think, for the sake of "looking good on paper", that Mercedes needs a 300+ horsepower V6. They've got several variants of the 3.5-l V6 with 300+ horsepower in Europe, available in the SLK, SL and the new E350 (292-hp I believe).

Interesting.
I believe the press release might be wrong about the 268-horsepower V6 since this scan from the official brochure, which I found on a German forum, mentions the "E350 CGI", which is a 292-hp direct-injection version of the 3.5 V6. It's much quicker than the regular 3.5 and also more fuel efficient, too.
The E350 CGI Coupe weighs in at 1.6 tons and according to official MB data does 0-62 mph in 6.3 seconds, which means probably 5.9 / 6.0 seconds once the magazines test it.

Their website states that the new E class will come with either a 268 HP V6 or a 382 HP V8. Same as the current E class.
I don't think that the 3.5L holds its own. 5 series, A6, and GS or putting down more power, accelerating significantly faster, while getting better gas mileage. The MB 3.5L is not impressive to me. If it does get direct injection, then it should be more on par.

A drag cd figure of 0.24 bests even the Prius. Appearance is way too busy though, still pretty classy looking.
292 hp indicates Benz is unable to build a motor on par with Toyota

I've stared at the interiors for a bit and noticed that there are lots of angular designs, from the door panel to the center console to the arm rest.
Past interior designs are so smooth
The car also looks quite dynamic and more masculine than the previous generation CLK.

overall, pretty good and classy looking.
+1 for the amg kit.
the character lines over the rear wheels take some getting used to, but I understand why they may have put them there- to make it seem wider, and to reduce the gap between the top of the wheel arch and the rear side window/beltline.
