Its sadly one of the reasons VW does so poorly here. If you talk to their dealers and salesmen, VW sends them cars they cannot sell or people don't want. Weird colors and options or no options. Tons of Routegs, no GTis. Now we see here no colors.
I was doing the same thing when i realized they were so dull, building it online, but when in doubt pick white or black, that how i feel anyways.
I would imagine that people buying a CC are not the kind of people that buys a CC with "when in doubt" in mind...the Passats there for them.

Yeah, VW used to have cool colored cars. Harlequin anyone?

That's not a gag, folks. It was indeed a real factory option...on the price sticker. I remember taking an old-style film camera shot of one in a VW showroom when I first saw it and sending it to Car and Driver magazine (I believe they printed it). I just wonder what the resale value would have been on a vehicle like that.

I dunno...resale might be interesting. There's a Japanese site dedicated to Harlequin and there apparently has been a few that's been resprayed b/c it didn't sell. Then again, I've seen cars that's been painted to imitate the Harlequin.
Anywho, the CC needs more colors since it's such a bold car!!

I thought those Golfs were called "Benetton Edition"
Anyway, you would think a car like the CC would attract buyers with personality.
Classy, saturated colors would definitely make the CC look better.
Maybe Black Cherry, Dark Green, Midnight Blue... even a copper-orange
might be a nice change.
