Infiniti Essence (next flagship?)

The Essence concept is going to be a large coupe. It will be a preview of the new M/Leopard coupe, to compliment the next M/Fuga sedan. It will be a competitor to the 6-Series and new E-Class coupe.
I miss the beautiful SC400 and Legend Coupe. Infiniti has a great opportunity here.

I think a larger Merc SL/CL, 6 series, XK , S5 competitor coupe with a v8 option, more luxury focused, with great styling at a somewhat "affordable" for a luxury car price 45K-57K would be a excellent product for Infiniti and something they need in their lineup. It is not the right time for a Infiniti GTR that will most likely cost over 80K. A CLS type sedan would be nice too and better then a full size luxo boat like the last Q45. I can't wait to see the next M37/M50 and hope it finally gets the exterior styling to match how overall good the car is.

Infiniti M50 Coupe to take on 6-Series and E-Class Coupe?
BMW already has the 6-Series and Mercedes-Benz has just shown the new E-Class coupe.
If the rumors are true, Infiniti's Essence concept will show Infiniti's interpretation of a large luxurious coupe with a V8 engine. Infiniti has filled out its G range with a sedan, coupe, and upcoming convertible. It only makes sense that the 3rd generation Infiniti M include a coupe along with the sedan to compete with the two top German marks. BMW only sold 304 6-Series in January 2009 while Mercedes-Benz sold 601 CLK's during the same time period in the United States. Considering this is such a small market, is there really room for an Infiniti M37/M50 coupe? Or, could it be a great opportunity to cash in on a segment, in which there are some questionably styled products.

I've said since day one a M35/45 coupe makes sense to augment the G35 coupe (at the time) and keep Infiniti as a sportier competitor. Even in a down market, I think its a great move as there is NO big Asian coupe, only the older SC 430.
Hey Lexus, we have also asked for a GS coupe for years! I hope this Essencec looks good, could be very promising! Surely it will be another FM based car which means minimal investment which means this should easily turn a profit.
