At the exact same location (Sanborn Park, Saratoga) I got a speeding ticket two years ago, a very "unfair" speed trap (downhill before a turn that cannot be negotiated at more than 20MPH but after a semi-hidden 30MPH sign), was a LEO this AM on his bike with a Radar gun.
I had programmed the 9500ix with that location to remind me of it and was cruising at 40MPH in gear #4 (to avoid using the brakes) and sure enough the Passport reminded me and, a few seconds later it caught the K band. If I had been speeding more (everybody flies by at 40 MPH there anyway so the LEO probably did not considered that as speeding) the 9500ix would not have helped, though, because the LEO triggered the gun at the last second.
So having GPS in the 9500ix is a very good feature... It's just annoying they want you to update the database every week.
