"the most powerful Acura every built"....is not that powerful....
So I'm eating that fantastic Quizno's 5 meat stacker and watching CNN during lunch and this ad comes on where a beak is shot through a sobe glass bottle and a giant megatron turd comes flying out....
I turn my head b/c I almost threw up my sandwich. I then hear (again)
"The most powerful Acura ever built" in a voice from a man sitting on another mans lap.
Which got me thinking how absolutely ghey all this is with 2 huge points;
1. The most powerful Acura ever built is not more powerful than a Kia, Hyundai, Chevy, Ford, Mitsubishi, etc, let alone a BMW, Lexus, Benz, Audi etc.
2. The most powerful Acura ever built is not the fastest Acura ever built. That would still be the fantastic old NSX. As a matter of fact, its not faster than the last TL-S or even the new Honda Accord V-6. At best, its as fast as the Accord V-6.
Discuss how the most powerful Acura ever built is no faster than a Rav-4 or Tundra please.
As a matter of fact, in a recent R&T where they test the TL SHAWD and the Mazda 6 (seperate tests), the Mazda 6 was barely quicker but it WAS quicker.

honestly i don't know, and i don't really care. i have been so disappointed in recent TL generations (and now the whole acura lineup for that matter) it's not even funny. the other day my wife and i were eating ice-cream in a plaza, with this TL parked right in front of us. my wife couldn't stop commenting about how ugly they can make the car into
you do bring up a good point about their engines, their improvement is really not like other auto companies out there. they need to advance faster

I agree, their tagline should be "Lol" instead of advance. On a side not this sandwich was great and I had a buy one get one free coupon.......

I'll jump off this boat and take a plane.
At first I thought the new TL was ugly but it is growing on me. The grill has to go but the overall shape of the car is not much different than a GS imo. A few nips and tucks here and there and we're talking about a nicely done car.

^ Yes, the previous gen TL Type-S is definitely faster... The '09 SHAWD is slower.... and it gets worse at higher speeds (quarter mile and beyond).
I'll say it again, the front is kind of ugly but the rear is the most disgusting look I have ever seen in my life. Actually, the *whole* car needs to go. It's ugly everywhere... Go back to the plant.
Yea the Hyundai is taking a huge lead over this Acura in power too. Hyundai is talking about coming out with a 460 hp with 8 speed transmission (close gear ratio, more efficient, and lighter than their previous 6 speed tranny version) on the Genesis..

Acura said in October they plan to sell 70,000 TLs.
Hyundai said in July, they plan to sell 25,000 Genesis Sedans.
The sales expectations and goals are completely different, nearly 3 to 1 in facvor of the TL. So comparing Genesis sales to TL sales means nothing until you notice that sales went from 3:1 (as they should be) to 2:1.
One of the reasons the V-6 TSX is coming is to keep loyal Acura buyers from leaving the brand b/c they do not want a new TL.

The ugliness is in the rear bumper reflectors, the too small taillights and headlights, the weird shaped foglights and the fug-tastic grille, the ugly exhaust pipes, the stupid deck lid spoiler and random chrome strip and the bloated shaped bumpers.
