Thumbs up High-performance Cadillac CTS-V coupe spied on the road

Despite the rash of bad news coming from General Motors over the past several months, the engineering corps is still hard at work. And we've got a glimpse of a car we would love to have in our garage--the Cadillac CTS-V coupe.

Cadillac's redesigned CTS coupe is set to launch in fall 2010, and it would add some Eldorado-esq panache to the Caddy stable.

Despite news that GM has reassigned its swat team of go-fast engineers, it looks as if a V-Series version of the CTS coupe is alive and well.

Here's why: In these recent spy shots, look at the lower door panels--there's tape covering up exactly where the performance badge goes. And the grille looks like the mesh setup found on the V-Series. And the back exhaust pipes are rather large.

This evidence is more than enough to convince us that GM still has a need for speed.

Dear GM

Nice car

Considering all the effort you made to mask up the car and even keep the perimeter sensors in play could you please grab that roll of tape and cover the dumb sh.. front fender gills.

Thank you

Caddy is not dilly dallying with the product. Bringing out the coupe version of the CTS-v to rumble with BMW, Mercedes & Audi.. Keep the money flowing Caddy's way GM!

Excellent, I guess this was too far towards production for them to not make it.

Looks pretty neat, along with the CTS wagon they have a solid series of cars to base their lineup on...although I'm not a huge fan of the styling as it translates to 'coupe' lines but I think others will like it.

I guess I am the only one who feels this way, but I don't care for the look of the CTS coupe at ALL. Except for the front end, it looks like any econo hatch back.

Coupes are supposed to be low slung with swept back lines...all the creases, chunky butt, and super-short/high trunk lid make it look like a competitor to the old Mercedes C230 Hatch...not an S5 or 335i.

Just my .02

I love the traditional looking coupe as well but sometimes you wanna do something different.

Same here. While I know the power will be there, I am still not a fan of the design. (rear that is, the CTS is a beast!)
