This is the area behind the seats and acts as the trunk.

What does it weigh? I have a feeling I weigh more than this car.

How does this thing compare to the smart car, its 1/5 of the price and if its 1/2 of the qulaity, Tata will sell a few of these in the US.

It serves the basic needs. Indian traffic is horrible. Its probably the best car for city driving there.

Have you seen Indian car called Maruti?
Its just like it.

Yes India is third world. They are developing but they are still 3rd world. I have actually been there twice in the last 15 years and its 100% third world. If you have been there more recently that 2006 let me know, but I have to say respectfully that you have no clue how 3rd world they are.

In the Human Development Index (HDI), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Statistical Update 2008 ranks India at 132 out of the 179 countries. At 116 out of the 157, India also ranks poorly in the Gender Development Index. While India falls under the “Medium Human Development” category, all the developed countries are bracketed under the “High Human Development” category. HDI is based on purchasing power parity, life expectancy at birth, and education levels. They are third world

It won't be coming to the US anytime soon. If, and/or When it does, it will cost a LOT more than 2k. US safety standards alone will add 4-5 grand to this thing.

If China-brand cars disintegrate in high speeds on highways, then what more with this thing :P

Say, I was thinking if this thing could be a good substitute for a golf cart. Anyone care to make some comparos between this thing and a standard golf cart.
