if Mercedes officially approves Techron as fuel additive, why doesn't Lexus?

I had better luck with Amaco gas than Chevron over the past 10 years with all the turbocharged cars I own. They prided themselves on no detergents (and was the reason I stuck with them).
Techron is marketing hype. That extra 1mpg you get is from you driving differently. This "top tier" gas crap is pretty funny.
Good gas:
Amaco, Chevron, Shell, Exxon
Bad gas:
no-name gas, Citgo (f you Chavez!)
Thats all you need to know. Your vehicle won't notice the difference between any of those good fuels unless you're running a fat turbo and a lot of aftermarket electronics.

I'll agree with you here, on both counts, but BP/Amoco, price-wise, seems to be a rip-off, at least in my area.
