F1 2009 - Grand Prix Malaysia
So, we kind of all laughed when Toyota said they want to win races in 2009... Well who is laughing now?
F1 2009 - Grand Prix Malaysia Qualifying
1 J. Button Brawn GP 1:35.181
2 J. Trulli Toyota 1:35.273
3 S. Vettel Red Bull 1:35.518
4 R. Barrichello Brawn GP 1:35.651
5 T. Glock Toyota 1:35.690
6 N. Rosberg Williams 1:35.750
7 M. Webber Red Bull 1:35.797
8 R. Kubica BMW 1:36.106
9 K. Räikkönen Ferrari 1:36.170
10 F. Alonso Renault 1:37.659
11 N. Heidfeld BMW 1:34.769
12 K. Nakajima Williams 1:34.788
13 L. Hamilton McLaren 1:34.905
14 H. Kovalainen McLaren 1:34.924
15 S. Bourdais Scuderia Toro Rosso 1:35.431
16 F. Massa Ferrari 1:35.642
17 N. Piquet jr. Renault 1:35.708
18 G. Fisichella Force India F1 1:35.908
19 A. Sutil Force India F1 1:35.951
20 S. Buemi Scuderia Toro Rosso 1:36.107
Its nice that we now have car weights:
Post-qualifying car weights:
1 - Jenson Button / Brawn = 660kg
2 - Jarno Trulli / Toyota = 656.5kg
3 - Timo Glock / Toyota 656.5kg
4 - Nico Rosberg / Williams = 656kg
5 - Mark Webber / Red Bull = 656kg
6 - Robert Kubica / BMW = 663kg
7 - Kimi Räikkönen / Ferrari = 662.5kg
8 - Rubens Barrichello / Brawn = 664.5kg
9 - Fernando Alonso / Renault = 680.5kg
10 - Nick Heidfeld / BMW = 692kg
11 - Kazuki Nakajima / Williams = 683.4kg
12 - Lewis Hamilton / McLaren = 688kg
13 - Sebastian Vettel / Red Bull = 647kg
14 - Heikki Kovalainen / McLaren = 688.9kg
15 - Sébastien Bourdais / Toro Rosso = 670.5kg
16 - Felipe Massa / Ferrari = 689.5kg
17 - Nelson Piquet / Renault = 681.9kg
18 - Giancarlo Fisichella / Force India = 680.5kg
19 - Adrian Sutil / Force India = 655.5kg
20 - Sébastien Buemi / Toro Rosso = 686.5kg
Vettel and Barichello got penalties, so starting grid looks like the weight chart above.
Toyota has shown good pace in Aussie, finishing 3rd and 4th (5th) after starting from the pits, and it seems they are even faster in Malaysia.
First win seems to be coming soon!
Dissaster for all the big teams - Mclaren, Ferrari, Renault, BMW are all doing awful as result of new regulations. Ferrari messed up big time with Massa not passing even Q3. All the do now is moan about diffusers and how diffuser 3 are cheating because basically it is not "in spirit of the rules" to be faster than them
RB is doing good, although always with lighter loads.
There is chance of rain tomorrow so that might make race even more interesting.

I really really hope so, but being 2nd or 3rd does not guarantee anything. Especially considering how many cars crashed in australia. I'll start celebrating AFTER Toyota wins, not before.
But they definitely have a shot to break out this year. Hope they can make it happen!
