Default Edmunds test: Infiniti G37S Convertible

What Works:
Strong performance; clever packaging; looks good top up or down

What Needs Work:
Top operation could be quieter; 453 pounds heavier than the G37 coupe; pack light, there's not much room

Bottom Line:
Real competition for the BMW 3 Series hardtop, but we'll stick with the G37 Coupe, thanks.

$54k?

WTF? Keep in mind that the M3 sedan starts at around $54k and IS F starts at $56k...

Its going to looks sooo good when its dropped on a set on very nice wheels. Its a shame that the coupe has gone from a luxury version of the Z to a 4400 lb convertible.

Looks pretty darn sharp, I like it alot wouldn't buy one though. $54k is kind of steep though give me an IS-F or M3 instead.

it doesn't look bad in this pic.

this is 10x better looking than the ISc. And the antenna is integrated into the rear spoiler. cool.

looks like infiniti is poised to overtake lexus in the sub-luxobarge depts.

for $54k though, I'd rather get a 2010 bmw Z4, since both have no trunk space anyway

That's your extra chassis bracing and the top mechanisms. Without extra bracing, convertibles, with the top down, lack body rigidity and tend to have flex, or "cowl shake". Hard-top convertibles, with the top up, of course, are more rigid than soft-top convertibles with the top up.

I'd take the 335 convert over that. It's a bit too big for me...

I'd take this over the 335 (don't like the interior) and IS-C (don't like ext.) thumbup:
