that is so bad ***. People are going to realize real quick that they bought a platform that provides them with a detuned 4B11 motor. The same motor that comes in the EVO10 ( detuned ). I cant wait to see what people start doing to these cars. I have a feeling that the tunability of the car will create a good following. I cant believe they squeezed that much power out of the car for just a few grand. Turbo tuning is EASY.... and it just got easier..... and cheap as hell

Nice numbers. It'll be interesting to watch how Hyundai treats the performance folks who up the boost w/ warranty items. It's a new scenario for them to deal with w/ this car.

I figure, like the EVO, you can probably pull close to 380- 400 hp without any major rebuilds.
The warranty issue will always be there , especially if they do turbo swaps etc. I had a service rep ask me if I altered my ECU after I blew an injector and I denied it. They asked again and I denied again and that was that

I think this car will absolutely change the image of the company permanently. They did a great job. Imagine for 22-24k you can buy a platform that you can tune and take to a track and do pretty damn well. There are people out there right now who are going to start pioneering this new ride. Again the 2 liter turbo is the 4B11 motor. Damn good price for what seems to be a damn good car.

Any baseline runs done before the turbo for this car?

Hyundai knew what they were doing when they released the Genesis with a detuned 2.0L turbo powerplant. Even in their press releases they hinted to the tuning potential of the turbo engine. I think it is great that there is now a affordable RWD car with this much tuning potential.

Why didn't they dyno it stock and then bpu and then apu, so people can see baseline numbers and so on? WTF? (Nevermind; found the info myself: http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-gen...7&postcount=17)
Time for me to roll up to the hyundai dealership for a test drive......just spoke to Ourisman Hyundai of Laurel and they have a 2.0T Track version in stock that I can take out....woohoo!
