Exterior is decent, I built one as well and I still think that interior is incredibly cheap for a $37,000 car.
I agree the interior looks cheap, especially the gauge area.
I love the exterior, so mean. But i do have to agree on the interior, el cheapo.
Have any of you guys actually had a chance to sit in the car and examine the interior and its materials first-hand, or are you just commenting from pictures?
We all know that GM did junk interiors for many years, but that has recently been changing.
I'm planning a full review of a new Camaro (per CL request) as soon as they are available in my area.

I've seen the interior first-hand in the LA Auto Show and... It is cheap.

Worse than the Dodge Challenger's? The Challenger has a lot of stuff inside that feels like it's going to break off in your hands. I mentioned that in my review of the R/T.
The Mustang also has a fair number of flimsy and cheap-looking parts inside, but the new 2010 model shows some improvement.
You know i can respect that I am posting in a Lexus forum so the C"cheap interior" comment are expected. But i disagree. Starting from High School, I always had Acuras, Toyotas and Lexus vehicles and never even looked at domestic because of value, looks and the fact that they didn't offer anything. But check out some pictures below. I fail to believe that the pix don't cause you to change you mind. A well equipped, Mean looking, 306HP-V6 with 29mpg for $30K!
I am seriously considering trading my Camry for it.
