Audi is determine to increase sales in the US, it started this massive advertising campagin last year. There are so many Audis on the road now that they are no longer unique, you might as well just buy a BMW, because they are all over the place.
Audi is swimming in dangerous waters I love the products Audi has rolled out to date.. S5, Q5, A8/S8 & of course the RS4 which I had an opportunity to thrash a few years ago at the Audi event in NY.. BMW will be BMW & will sell itself with its driving dynamics.
Auto advertising lately is a joke, the consumer is bombarded. I question the effectiveness or bang for the buck from a business standpoint.
Exactly!
What's the difference between this Audi/BMW ads-war than having kids in the playground arguing about "my dad is richer than yours"? Sure it's fun but I expect something like Kia or Hyundai to do that kind of thing, not from Audi and BMW.
Billboards, as far as the actual car is concerned, actually mean very little. The only way to accurately judge a car, or decide on one, if course, is hands-on experience at the dealership and test-driving one.
So, an Audi-BMW chess game plastered on billboards is fine for entertainment, but keep in mind it is just THAT..............entertainment.
Lexus has humor too. Anyone remember the 2GS ad where it shows the GS outaccelerating the E class and 5 series by a cliff then all 3 brake up and the GS brakes in time and the other 2 fall off the cliff as it had better brakes
