That ad would do quite well lol.
Well...in terms of performance, I don't think the R8 is going to outdo an M3. They're probably fairly even.
When it comes to looks though, the R8 is better imo.
And with regards to the Audi/Mercedes ad. I don't think that's real (albeit I'm not home atm). The reason is, the dealership that says "York" is a Volkswagen only dealership at "Yorkdale". I doubt they'd let another company purchase out the ad-space there. If you look closely, you can see some VW Golfs in the distance.

I was thinking more in terms of flagship sports car. The M3 is a compact sport coupe, it should be compare to the Audi RS4. BMW's closest competitior to the R8 is the M6, and the M6 is more of a mid size sport couple than a true sports car.
