Cool So the new M3 styling has reaaaaallly grown on me

At first I was like "do not want" but now "I want"....I especially love it in white. You have to put the 19s on it, the 18s look ridiculous. Its no E46 but in its own way, it looks better than ever. RWD and V-8 to boot, I much prefer the coupe over the sedan.

Has anyone also changed opinion on the styling?

I still think the design is rather busy...but sometimes busy is a good thing

I've always like it, especially coupes with the 19's.
How durable are these cars?

None of the 3 series sedans appeal to me.

Nope. Always thought it looks okay at best. I prefer the regular 3-series coupe. And the M3 Sedan is a mess IMO.

I really like the new styling of the M3 COUPE, but oddly i HATE the styling of the sedan.

now that i think of it, none of the 3 series sedan styling appeals to me. But i too would like to know how reliable these cars are. I know there VERY expensive to fix

I've always like it too, I agree that it's not E46 M3 but I really like it, especially the sedan.

The only downside is still the interior but I think if I am in the market for one of these entry luxury super sedans/coupes I would go with the M3 sedan.

Thanks a lot. I have a thread in here with my surprise and the MMarshall was nice enough to welcome me back in the Clubhouse.

Back to the M3, I agree, coupe for me. If I want a sedan with some odd angles, I'll just get the IS-F

I have to say the V-8 in a smallish coupe really appeals to me.

I really like the M3 styling. It makes the E46 look a bit outdated to be honest. I normally favor black, but the M3 looks best in white

Yup, I only like the current M3 in just the coupe or convertible form

Your new ride should out shine the E92 3 series .. Hell these cars are a dollar a bucket & are all over the place. I should just toss this key fob in the dumpster lol..

Another vote for coupe (but not sedan, aaannd probably not vert either) here.

That said, I'm still not a fan of the current M3 (hence why I'm not shopping that one) it just seems to "puffed up" & swollen as opposed to sporty. I'm definitely ambivalent towards it.

I think if you're the M3 buyer you want something sportier and reasonably tossable (good handling and always ready for a fun time in a corner); the new M3 didn't feel that way to me, it feels too big to really get into it. (IMO)

New M3 styling: still just alright.

COUPE all the way!!

I am torn between the Space Gray Metallic and Alpine White... which ever the 19s really shine and make the car handle better (I drove both extensively, the SGM last Thursday), but for some reason the 19s pop more on SGM than AW...

I'm leaning towards SGM for the M3 and definitely Alpine White w/ M-sport package for my X5...

I've always liked the E92. The sedan does it for me more than the coupe simply because there are less of them. Go figure.

I like the new exterior M3 styling and the E46 M3, both are very sharp looking cars especially in white, silver, and black and much better looking then their regular 3 series counterparts and I may even prefer the exterior looks of the new M3 over the E46M3. I like the new 3 series coupe exterior styling too where the regular E46 coupe did not appeal much to me. The thing I really dislike about the new M3 and the new 3 series is the interior which is a deal breaker for me, it just looks so plain and cost cut and a step down from the previous model. The E46 M3 has a much nicer looking more upscale looking interior design, reason enough for me to prefer the E46 M3 over the new one.
