My wife raced in this at "24 hours of Lemons South" two weeks ago at our local track, Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP). Her team had a Kia Sephia with a 'legal theme' inspired by a local personal injury lawyer who also races BMWs who was on her team. We're going to be building a car for it in the fall as well... had a line on a Celica Supra for $400 but a guy bought it out from under us when we were on our way to pick it up.

Jay Lamm, a writer for SCI (RIP SCI) wrote an article that these "Lemons" races were more fun and entertaining than F1, Nascar etc.

I hope they continue to gain popularity.

Well, coincidentally my wife and a couple of her buddies just bought a car tonight for the fall Lemons race here.... a BMW 533 off of ebay for $400. They'll go pick it up on Saturday (it's in Greensboro - a 1.5 hour drive)

I was thinking of running in it this year with some buddies. We have been looking at cheap old honda platforms. I am looking at an 88 prelude. I agree that it is going to be more fun that a real hardcore race. Its about the experience and the laughs
