The modern Jags have lost all of their "Jagness". They now look like tarted up Japanese cars. Actually better than any Japanese car, but still they dont look like Jags. Its kind of like the 911 just changing to look more like a BMW M3.
what's upsetting is that the "jagness" still exists mechanically. I read the long term test from automobile magazine and they were saying that in the first 16000 miles the rear differential went, then 2 weeks later the power steering pump went. I would still never buy a Jag, but they are looking good in a non jag way

2010 jaguar XJ rendering
..................
july is its official reveal at british motor show. If it looks like this....
well..
Looks like it could pass for jaguars answer to the CLS/A7, even though its intention is not that.

The XF is a great looking car imho, but they should have gone with the concept design for the front end. The front end of it right now im not too crazy about especially the way the headlights are. If it was the concept front - I would ROCK it. Still a great car.
This XJ I REALLY LIKE. If it is this size as rendering suggests and from the spy pics of a prototype circling the nurburgring, then it definitely seems to suggest a 4 door prestige luxury coupe look. I like this rendering. It reminds me of a big aston martin.

Hmmm...
I know Aston and Jag are no longer under one umbrella, but this looks like a nod to the AM Rapide (like how the XK is a nod to the Vantage). Swoopy body lines, pinched headlights and taillights; but with a "normal" trunk instead of a hatchback.
Perhaps along the standard V8, there will be a XJ-R V12?
