Do non-M BMWs have Inspection I and II as well? I wasn't aware of that but I know on the Ms this can be very costly...
It would seem that if this maintenance package covers Inspections I and II it would be well worth the $1,400-3k.

^^^ Ah, ok thanks for clarification. This extended maintenance package really seems worthwhile then you if plan to keep you Bimmer longer than 4 years/50k miles; assuming those Inspections are included - especially for M purchasers.

I had a brake fluid flush service, oil change, micron filter change, wiper blade change on my 335 recently & the car only has 11k on the clock.. The x3 gets a free oil change each time I get it inspected..I've had 4 oil changes to date on the 06 X3 & it also has 11k on the clock.. Wiper blades, coolant refill, brake inspections are all done per my request without hassle.

^^^ You may be one of those lucky people who have found a dealer or service rep that actually likes their customers... I know a friend's friend was turned down for an oil change at around 12k miles when the car was in for some other warranty issue I believe. I guess that is not all that uncommon either from what I had read on a few of the BMW forums. Sad though that people did a UOA and the results suggested that the oil should be changed more frequently than the factory recommendations under the maintenance plan.
