Some people like authenticity and have a higher standard for a luxury brand. Its 2009 for goodness sakes, this is no different than a Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan rebadge job etc. They should just sell it as a Honda Accord part Deaux or some other Honda name.

Please do not come here to troll. I see this is your first post on our website.

There should be NO OFFENSE taken if some people do not want a true rebadge in the Euro Accord/TSX. Its a fact that is what the car is. Its not a bad thing but for some people they have no desire to be a part of that.
Now let me educate you on the key difference here between your first post and the Accord/TSX.
Camry to ES 350 is not a rebadge. Accord to TL is not a rebadge. The interiors and exteriors are totally different.
Skyline to G37 is a rebadge. Euro Accord to a TSX is rebadge. The interiors/exteriors are identical except for small touches here and there. The hardest part was swapping the badges out.
It is two differnet ways of selling cars. Some don't mind one way, some don't mind the other, some don't like either, some like both.
You should do a lot of research before commenting on something you seemingly know nothing about. The IS debuted in 1997 in Europe as the IS 200. It debuted in Japan as the Altezza as there was NO Lexus dealerships in Japan. The IS 200 had an I-6. The IS is the "international sedan" and the first Lexus designed for the European market.
The GS was designed to be a GS period. Again, there was no Japanese Lexus dealers so they were rebadged Aristos there. If you look at the specs you would easily realize that the GS in America got a V-8 option that was never offered in Japan. In Japan they got the twin turbo I-6 option.
Starting in 2006 with the introduction of Lexus in Japan, there is no need to rebadge them as Toyotas.
Please before you post hastily, do some searching we have discussed this over and over.
Thank you

You would be surprised about how many brand names are viewed completely differently abroad than they are here in the states. Mcdonalds can be fairly upscale in some parts of the world, levi's jeans are a premium brand of jeans over there, buick is a successful luxury brand in china, etc.
