I don't think anyone can demand MSRP in this economy on a mass volumne car even if the car is brand new. But that just meant goodies for us consumer

I agree, nobody is paying full price for a car that will become a dime a dozen. Especially since this car is already competing for a part of the market share that the Toyota Prius owns! It has to discount to gain ground.

I have yet to even see an Insight.
Even in this economy, it still seems odd in the first month of release to slash prices.

hhmm .. you do know that the Insight look almost identical to Prius right? Do you have the same reaction when you see a Prius ?

I guess different stroke for different folks.
The Prius/Insight look alright to me. Not a run way model but it just another car like the camry,accord,civic, or corrolla.

I mean, I can cut some slack on the Prius, its more easier on the eye to look at than the Insight.
