lol, thanks guys. The funny thing is I RARELY bump my music loud like that anymore. I guess I'm older . That morning was the begining of a great day as far as I was concerned and I was playing it loud. I did admit that. Life is too short not to bump some music from time to time

I beat a loud ticket before from an officer that clearly had a personal problem in another city where the cops are clearly more ****. This is not an anti-cop thread or all cops are pigs thread. Most are great men and women. I man I consider an Uncle just retired from the police force here after 25 years and he will be the FIRST to tell you many of them got issues. My grandfather is a retired police chief as well.

The issue was this guy's tone was out of line like I committed some terrorist act. So I had my fun.

As for ML, it is great. I never said I kept the volume at 62. I have tested it at 62 and the clarity was pretty amazing considering it was at full volume. Anyone not agreeing with ML being fantastic might be deaf (go get that checked ) b/c every single Audio Review has raved about it and many consider it to be the best in an automobile.

A lot of higher end car audio systems these days will simply adjust the EQ when they detect distortion, meaning they'll only let a minimal amount of distortion occur before they just force the volume to lower across that frequency range... typically bass.

I've found the ML in the GS is very good, and still better than most other premium audio systems in competing cars, but what's odd is that it doesn't sound nearly as good as several other Lexus ML systems... not just the LS.

I'm not surprised they're impressed with it but I think a 10/10 is overboard. Of course everyone's got different ears and opinions.

The LS has 19 speakers and I believe 440 watts or so.
I'm not going to argue if its a good/great system, I am no audiophile.

To me its great and I don't need it any louder.

I think the Lexus system I have heard are great systems in standard no ML form. I have heard my system while outside of the car checking the mail, and even at 40 - 45 its still not enough to get the cops on me. In college I had a 900 watt system in a Prelude and that was loud.

ah, that explains why 45 now in the ML sounds like nothing to you
