Ouch to Acura...ouch. What did they really expect though? The TL is not a real luxury car, it's an Accord with different styling and better performance. Every other car in that test (the bmw, the Audi and the Infiniti) are all dedicated platforms, and it shows.

Personaly I would take the A4, I remember my old A4 days I put in a good chunk of money into the car and I turned from a mediocre 4wd sports sedan to my car. The turbo audi's are redicously easy to mod, read my above post. you can make almost 100whp for 3.5k another 1k into suspension work and you have a 335xi killer that will get you 35mpg highway

They really did not like the Audi - rough, noisy and slow. The 328 was the cheapest as tested, but had the plastic seats and now power equipment so it was very much a base model. The G37 was better at almost everything, but they hated the clutch. After reading the article, my guess is that if they had tested an G37 automatic, the G37 would have won.

Early in the article is their reason for leaving out the IS350 and C300. Any existing model that lost in previous tests is not included. The Acura and Audi are new models and the G37 is an upgrade from the G35.

Come on people, this is car and drivers we are talking about, BMW was the winner before the test ever started. This is a bunch of gear heads who really like nice handling cars, but a nice handling cars is not the best car most of the time. It really depends on what you are looking for in a car, personally, I like a car that is well rounded, a car that is rated high on everything, it doesnt have to be rated the highest as in the BMW's handling, and I agree, the 335i would have been a more believeable winner.

If TL is not an luxury .. true can be said to many others like the ES350. And to me the ES350 is a true luxury. Well entry-level anyway like the TL,G,Audi,3 Series. Acura brand can't compete with Lexus, but TL match nicely against the ES350 not so with the IS or other Smaller 4 door sport sedans IMO.
