in all honesty..i think i would prefer the Gen coupe over the camaro...the genesis seems more sporty to me...imagine if they slapped the V8 from the sedan and the 6 speed from the coupe onto the coupe..did they test the normal V6 Genesis or the track version? I'm not sure about the normal V6 but i do know that the track version has a LSD.

Pretty mediocre performance for the V6 Camaro IMO. The IS 350 is on par with the Camaro V6...the only thing that the Camaro wins on is braking distance and slalom by very little margins (~15ft and ~2mph). You could get these with the IS sport package most likely and get luxury as well....then you have no reason to buy this as a second car.
I would rather get a used S2000 if I wanted something that looks nice and doesn't perform :P

i saw 2 of them on the road. it's absolutely gorgeous on the road. the best looking *** IMO. i followed the blue 3.8 track for about 15 miles in i94 going towards chicago from lake forest. traffic was very slow, and many people were staring at gen coupe. it's definitely a head turner. seriously guys, this thing looks much much better on the road. pictures don't do any justice.

and 0-60 is pretty meaningless IMO. i test drove it and it felt very quick and there was a plenty of a power. it just gave me a huge smile after smile. overall it's a very satisfying car. my local dealer still doesn't have a 2.0T, and seems like they aren't going to go below MSRP yet on v6. i'm going to pull a trigger on 2.0T on this fall. yeay~~

i just can't stop looking at this. it's just beautiful to me. i think camaro looks good, but i really don't care too much about the retro design. i personally like the look of charger than camaro.

Well, it's a pony car. That's the way classic American pony cars are SUPPOSED to be.....long hood, short deck, substantial width, and a big-iron engine under the long hood.

Ford tried doing small, pint-sized Mustangs in the mid-late 1970's....essentially redone Pintos. They were ridiculous.....and ended up being the butt of automotive jokes. The 70s-vintage Camaros and Firebirds kept most of the size they had in the 60's, only with detuned engines.

I've seen both Camaro and Challenger up close. The Camaro is much less bulky looking. And the differences in almost all critical dimensions are significant.

Pony cars don't need to look bloated. The original and most successful Mustang was from from bloated and quite trim in appearance. Long hood/short deck styling can be quite attractive and functional given the front engine/rwd layout.
