About a month ago, a teen from Middleton High School was cited for speeding and crashing his parents Audi S4. However, it wasn’t until a month later the teenager decided to post video footage of the high-seed run on YouTube showing the car’s speedometer reaching 155 mph. The teen now faces the district attorney about additional charges.
Dane County Sheriff said that the clip surfaced on YouTube showing the month old incident on a stretch of Highway 18-151 south of Verona.
The driver and passengers were not hurt in the crash. The teen now faces charges of reckless endangerment.
Of course we’ve learned a great deal from this matter. If you’re going to try to pull a high-speed stunt and show it off - make sure you don’t post it on YouTube for the world and the police to see.

wow.. u can actually hear them crashing in the video.. what nerve to actually post it up... pure stupidity.. reminds me of that story of the high school kid that had his parent's M5.. crashed at 155-ish mph and none survived (full car of his friends) -- pretty sad actually..

The boy's voice sounded like Jeff Spicoli.
I've done those stunts back in Mexico running my RX300 up to the limit (in fact those videos are on youtube), but I would never stick a ton of passengers in there and then do one of these nutty runs. You're putting a lot more weight, stress on the vehicle for one, and if you have to make any sudden adjustments, all that weight is going to magnify any slight turn. In addition, I would never stay at that speed for that long like they did, the tires (although equipped) could give with the weight of the passengers in the car (despite being speed rated).
I knew of someone in Mexico City who still has an unofficial record of 167 mph for a car, when he was clocked by stationary police radar, and that was also done in an S4. His S4 was modified to the hilt with tires/suspension in addition to engine modifications and he had done circuit racing.

The video shows the speed over 100MPH, but it doesn't look that fast from the objects in being passed.
I guess this kid's parents didn't have that talk with him about the car when I got his license. Let's see what the judge has to say about his lack of responsibility. Time for a bus pass until you're 21.

We've all done a couple of dumb things (me included...I lost it on the ice once) but that's a long way from 155 MPH on a public road.

I know what it's like when I hit 112+ mph (night), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mnb_ilGDAU8
Close to 100 here (night), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iStkeBfSb10
And a daytime one at 100, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvJzY1DB0tQ
But going 155 or so. That I've only done with a buddy of mine in his 1993 Madza RX7 on the Highway 57 in Mexico on a long straight stretch (and with diplomatic plates) and you definitely need good control and steady nerves, something those kids likely didn't have one drop of.
Yep, they'll be taking the bus or riding on roller skates.
