^^ The old C hatch didn't sell well here. So Benz gave the new C class hatch the new bodystyle but its based on the OLD car and decided not to bring it here this time.

My heart says Audi...I love the S5 and R8. But I'll follow my head and vote for Benz. They simply have the most to offer with the SLR, SL, CL, SLK and whatnot. Add AMGs and the Black Series into the mix and they have this catagory covered.

Like several others have mentioned, Benz has something for everybody. No matter what you're looking for they have an answer. Whether or not those vehicles are the best in class is up for debate, but they are all right there in the mix....something that is distinctly lacking with Lexus.

Aston Martin? They do both coupes and convertibles. Or they too expensive for this class? (mega-luxury, same as Bentley/RR)

^^ Thanks Mike, added. I used to love the OLD Benz coupe designs, the new ones not so much. I don't like the 6 and the 3 is bland to me but like the M3 and 1 series. Audi's A5 does nothing for me as the TT but the S5 and R8 make me tingle.

Lexus, Infiniti, Saab, Caddy, Volvo don't do much for me.

I love the Jag XK and XKR though.

This is a tough choice and I have not voted yet.

K, I voted Bimmer & Benz but I want to say that's ignoring price completely. I think they do a great job on the coupes but I generally think they're over priced.

(& of course, I'm a fan of the XLR, too bad it's going bye bye)

That's for you to figure out. Of course many AMG's are very desirable and very fast cars.

I would have to say Mercedes, good choices available. I generally won't mind having any of them, except the SLK with that unsightly nose ( & of course the SLR too).

As for the AMG's, I don't regard them as real sports cars, no manual, not light enough, & steering still on the numb side, and I recall Mario Andretti saying that the SL55 AMG is not a sports car ... I won't mind having one though

On LOOKS alone, I would have to choose the Audi R8, Jag XKR, and the new BMW Z4.

However, for reliability, luxury, and overall value (maintenance, insurance, and depreciation); the SC430 did fit my agenda...

Too bad Lexus doesn't do a GS coupe for you, right?

I love the Jag XK and XKR though.
There never was an ugly-looking Jaguar....hopefully never will be. But the J-Gate console shifter, was, IMO, a gimmick, and the old Lucas electrical systems, before Ford took over......let's not even go there.

This is a tough choice and I have not voted yet.
Agreed.....this IS a tough choice. I'm not sure I can put all the eggs in just one basket, either. The BMW 1 and 3-series coupes/convertibles are superb drivers' cars. The Audis have the superb Quattro AWD system (a better AWD system than BMW's) and some great interior trim. The Lexus SC also has beautiful interior wood and typical Lexus refinement. And, of course, the Jags are beautiful inside and out. Mercedes and Volvos have superb safety and crash protection.

In a nutshell, I guess the BMW 335i coupe would be the nicest to drive (the M3 is too harsh), and the Lexus SC430, with its superb interior and overall quality, the nicest one to own.
